Another of our pets has been called home—Squeak the fish now sports in paradise with his goldfish peers, in a pool which never gets clogged with waste, where the food floats down without end, and where the snails never die but endlessly continue their brave work of cleaning all surfaces.
Which would be quite a change from what he (she?) is used to.
I was never able to really WARM to the creature, though from time to time his (her?) grace in navigating the murky waters of the aquarium would catch the eye. But we were not, as it were, CLOSE.
Still, he (she?) provided a certain amount of entertainment, and a miniature reminder of watery part of the globe.
Rest in peace, little fish. You never did any harm, which is something not many of us can claim.
Hope
